One liter of water is equal to about 33.8 fluid ounces.
Petroleum is less dense than water, which allows it to float on top of water. Additionally, petroleum is hydrophobic, meaning it repels water and does not mix with it. These properties enable the formation of a layer of petroleum on the surface of water.
We can say that this is true to some extent. We must all agree that the properties of a compound DOES depend on the elements it contains since a variation in the elements changes the properties of the compound. However, what we must remember is that the properties of the compound does NOT depend on the properties of the elements that make up the compound.A simple example is water, made of hydrogen and oxygen. Water is very different from the elements indeed.

They have different properties because the element that make up these compounds are different, water is made up of 2 hydrogen atoms, and 1 oxygen while table salt is made of a sodium and a chlorine atom. These different combinations make up different properties. Why the elements that make up these compounds have different properties however is a different question.
No, However it can be dissolved in water to make a salt solution.
no, both trans fluid and brake fluid perform the same function, just have different properties and heat tolerances, make sure a professional flushes the brake system for you, this is the only way to flush it properly
