  • a hard shell that is hard to bite through
  • tough scales that are hard to bite through
  • can hold their breath under water for a long time to avoid land predators
  • can leave the water to escape water predators

You can support the organizations that are in for protecting all the turtles from being extinct, especialy the ones for the Yangtze Giant Softshell Turtles. There were only four individuals found, two died on 2006(?) and 2008 (one on each year.

so now, only two are alive...

one is 80 (female) and the other one's 100 (more than, actually) (male)

The turtles shell is to protect it from would-be attackers. for example, Birds of Prey like to eat turtle, but with the shell, it is protected from most of the attackers that try to eat it. however, some animals have evolved to find a way to crack a turtles shell.
