A backbone is an essential part of all vertebrate anatomy. It protects the spinal cord and supports the body in an upright posture.
Back bone basically protects spinal cord .
I doubt they do. Like ladybugs, they have a hard shell that protects them from predetors.
The backbone protects your spinal nerve and helps keep all the upper body structures and organs in place. And obviously helps your body to stay straight and your head to be where it is.
exskeleton
=The skeleton helps us by supporting our body and holding us up. It also protects tose of our many internal organs- e.g==skull protects the brain==ribs protect the lungs and heart==backbone protects the kidney=
Vertebrates are animals that have a backbone, which is composed of individual vertebrae. This group includes mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish. The backbone serves as a structural support for the body and also houses and protects the spinal cord.
Arthropods is an exoskeletons, their components are external. This supports and protects the aminals inner body. No internal backbone
well of course they don't!
The Vertebral Column (aka, the spine or backbone) protects the spinal cord and supports the head and back.
