You must enroll in a college (usually a trade school) that offers this course. The schooling is a mix of both textbook and on the job training and usually takes approximately 14 months for completion. The schools vary in price, but where I live, in Southern California, they are usually about $25,000. No qualifications are needed to join the LVN program, just a high school diploma or GED. There are also plenty of financial aid and loan options available since nurses are in such high demand.
