Masters Degree in Statistics/mathematics is usually the minimum requirement ,while having financial subjects like economics ,accounting is advantageous ,these subjects by them self won't meet the requirement of becoming a Quant. Strong programming skills -programs like C++ or Java. There are quite diffirent kinds of quants (research them and see which one would suite you).
