How about "It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end." - Ursula Le Guin
Defeating Galbatorix and Murtagh.
Eragon--a fifteen year old farm boy-- is shocked when a polished blue stone appears before him in the range of mountains known as the spine. Nothing is known of Eragon's father. (who is later to be reveled to be Morzan by his half-brother Murtagh. Even later, however, it is reveled that his actual father is Brom) His mother, Selena has not been seen since Eragon's birth, since she died shortly after Eragon's birth. That's technically not a quote from Brisingr, but does describe Eragon's earlier life. Perhaps you should try actually looking into the depths of the book?
Courageous, Kind, Intelligent, Caring and Humble are the adjectives that come to mind when I think of Eragon.
The five main characters in the "Eragon" series are Eragon (the protagonist), Saphira (his dragon), Brom (his mentor), Murtagh (his ally and friend), and Arya (an elf princess). Their relationships and interactions drive much of the plot in the series.
Eldest is the second book in the Inheritance cycle. The story is the continued adventures of Eragon and his dragon Saphira, centering around their journey to the realm of the Elves in order to further Eragon's training as a Dragon Rider.
One meaningful quote from "Eragon" is "Live in the present, remember the past, and fear not the future, for it doesn't exist and never shall. There is only now" on page 122. This quote emphasizes the importance of living in the moment and not worrying about what may come.
