What rank is President Obama?

He is the head of the executive branch of our government, and the leader of our country. He is also the commander in chief of our armed forces. But since we do not have a government that is run by the military, our leaders do not have ranks like General or Captain. They are just "President" and "Vice President," even if they were in the military before. For example, when Dwight D. Eisenhower was president during the 1950s, he was never called General Eisenhower, even though in World War II, he was a general in the Army; he was always called President Eisenhower. Barack Obama was not in the military, but even if he were, as long as he is in the White House, he would still be called "President Obama."
