There are 2 leading theories, one is the theory of relativity and one is quantum gravity. The first one says that every single thing in this universe lies on a plane called space time. Massive objects curve this spacetime and attracts other masses, similar to water going down a funnel. Another theory is that masses exchange massless particles known as gravitons, these exchanges (Similar to electromagnetic attraction and the strong force) attract the 2 masses together.
Too bad they don't work out very well with each other.
gravity causes objects to fall
Matter causes gravity in the first place.
Gravity causes the ships iron anchor to sink to the ocean.
Earth is hafly big, so it has gravity. Larger, it has more gravity. Smaller, it has less gravity.

gravity?
No. The earth has its own gravity. The lunar gravity causes tides on earth, but does not control earth's gravity.
It depends on how much gravity that causes stars to form. It depends on how big the star in the galaxies is.
