Ethiopia and Liberia
Ethiopia
Egypt was never technically a colony, which would mean that it was under direct foreign authority; it was a British protectorate, which meant that the indigenous government still held power, but was forced by the British military to comply with British interests. The Khedivate of Egypt came under British Protection in 1882 after the Anglo-Egyptian War.

Ethiopia was NEVER colonized, it was just partially occupied under Italy for 5 years but was not colonized. ever. The above is incorrect. Ethiopia was not colonized until 1936. Italy did place Italian inhabitans in the country, but the enterprise did not last. Italy's colonial claims were acknowledged and accepted by other European states.PLEASE IGNORE THE ANSWERS ABOVE. Ethiopia was never colonized. Italy attempted to colonize Ethiopia, but us Ethiopians fought back! Ethiopia beat Italy and did NOT get colonized, EVER. Ethiopia is the only country in Africa that has never gotten colonized by another country.
It is in northern Africa, right under (south of) Egypt on the map...
Ethiopia has never been colonized, despite several attempts from various countries like England and Italy. In fact Italians were defeated by Ethiopians in the battle of Adwa in their attempt to capture Ethiopia. Later just before WWII Ethiopia fell under the occupation of Italians (1936-1940) and they were ousted by the combined forces of Britain and Ethiopia, in WWII British campaign So no date of Independence. Sorry,
Ethiopia (or Abessinya as it was then called) had been occupied by Italy but was never under German control, so the answer is probably none in the Holocaust. Obviously, Ethiopia suffered casualties fighting the Italians.
Ethiopia and Liberia are the only African countries that were never colonized. It's true that the American Colonization Society BOUGHT land in Liberia to settle free slaves but there was no white rule. And 95% of the population are native Africans who have, at no point in history, been under white rule.
Italy under Benito Mussolini attacked Ethiopia in 1935
Ethiopia and Liberia remained independence from European control in 1914.
There were a great many countries that never were under British control. There were even more that were not a British colony before they were declared independent. On the great continent of Africa there is only one. That would be Ethiopia.
