The region of the UK with the warmest climate in December would typically be in the southwest, such as Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, due to the influence of the Gulf Stream. Temperatures in these areas are generally milder compared to the rest of the UK during winter months.
This area is the Antarctic Peninsula. You can read about its climate, below.
The southern region of Canada has the warmest climate.
The region of southern Europe, because of its proximity to the Mediterranean sea, enjoys a Mediterranean climate.
The warmest place in Germany is usually in the southwest region, particularly in cities like Freiburg, Stuttgart, and Mannheim. These areas benefit from a milder climate due to their proximity to the Rhine River and the Black Forest.
The parts of Canada that have the mildest climate are the parts that are west of the Great Lakes region. The snow and cold tends to be a little harsher during winter months near the Great Lakes.
Northern europe
In Europe, the only type of subtropical climate we can find is the Mediterranean climate, also called the Dry summer-subtropical climate. Currently, the Mediterranean climate is found in a great portion of the Southern Europe with some countries such as the major part of Spain, the major part of Italy, the Corse (France), the major part of Greece and the Southeastern France (Provence and Côte d'Azur). There is another type of subtropical climate we can find very rarely in the extreme Southern Spain and that's the subtropical, hot desert climate such as cities like Almeria and I think that's the only city in Europe that has a subtropical, hot desert climate.
The Arctic and North Atlantic oceans are two factors which affect the climate in European Europe. A climate controller for Europe is the jet streams.
