The cell membrane regulates the movement of substances in and out of the cell.
How does it do this? The phospholipid bilayer is impermeable to most substances, allowing across only small, uncharged molecules such as those of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and water. The only way for other substances to cross the membrane is via transport proteins (channel and carrier proteins). These are selective, and therefore control what enters and what leaves the cell.
The cell membrane controls movement of substances into the cell.
Cell membrane controls which substances can move in and out of a cell. It is the dynamic boundary of cell
The cell membrane controls that activity
The cell membrane
osmosis
Cell membreneA layer that controls what enters and what leaves the cell. Or a protective covering enclosing the entire cell.(controls substances going in and out of the cell.)
The semipermeable cell membrane which has two layers of phospholipids controls movement into and out of the cell membrane.
The cell membrane is reposnible for allowing what substances can enter and leave a cell, this happens by different methods of transport for instance "active transport" in plants. The phospholipid bilayer containing cholesterol, proteins and carbohydrates, also helps in allowing which substances to pass.
The permeability of the cell membrane controls which substances may pass in or out of the cell.
Exocytosis

The Cell Membrane is usually attributed with controling which substances can move in and out of the cell.
The cell membrane is the barrier that controls what substances enter and leave a cell.

it is the cell wall ! :)

The cell membrane. It is described as semipermeable
