Dementia treatments often are either at hospitals or even rehab centers so contact your local rehab center for any questions and if that don't work then call the hospital.
Choosing a drug rehab center is a very personal decision and should be made on what you think will work best for you. If you are strongly religious, then a program based on doctorine will be more effective for you then it would be for someone who is more self motivated.
I use to work in a drug rehab center and we did not use drug dogs. I also worked in a JobCorps campus where they did. I think it really depends on the center. However, if the agency is large or is a center that the courts regularly send people to, I wouldn't be suprised to see a drug dog used in searches.
You should talk to the people at the rehab center that you were in. Maybe, you should give inspirational speeches to those who are in rehab centers. Definitely talk to the managers at local rehab centers & ask what they recommend because they know best.
What degrees would you need to be a drug counselor and work at a rehab?
It varies greatly depending on the treatment center and the level of care. However, most programs include personal therapy, work with a nutritionist/dietitian, and group therapy.
If your husband used his 100 days from Medicare A and a supplemental policy, he has to have a 60 day break in his stay at the rehab center and another qualifying 3 night stay at the hospital. If he is going to a nursing home, they most likely have therapy and he can use his Medicare Part B benefits. Also, if his rehab was used in say an in hospital acute rehab, those days are different than "nursing home rehab" days. I work in a nursing/rehab center and we take long term and skilled patients. A lot of rehab centers are nursing homes but only want Medicare A and insurance patients. Then, when they have exhausted their days, the patient is either private pay or most likely Medicaid. Medicaid doesn't pay for therapy and private pay is just what is sounds like, you pay out of your pocket. The system pretty much sucks. Sorry for your troubles.
You can take them to Rehab, that'll work :)
THe only disadvantage of physiotherapy that comes to my mind is the lost time. However, is it a lost time, when you are doing your recovery? I think not. So, there are no disadvantages of physiotherapy. This was from me. Oh, yeah, and I would like to suggest you this rehab center gtarehab.com that provides many other rehab procedures.

Traditional and luxury rehab programs both offer essential treatment services, including detox, therapy, relapse prevention planning, and aftercare planning and services. These are all essential to begin the recovery process. However, luxury rehab often provides a more individualized, luxurious, and private experience for their clients. When a center advertises its services as “luxury,” you can expect specific factors such as alternative therapy options, privacy, increased access to technology (for work or contact with family, or increased access to personal items that may contribute to the “luxury” rehab experience. In addition, luxury rehab facilities also offer a wide variety of amenities not commonly found in most traditional rehab facilities.
Where in Indiana are you? I am in nw Indiana and there are mental health facilities which have drug rehabs in them, as well as support groups... if you can, try seeing a therapist. they can help you get a case manager who can help you get medicaid and will then pay for services.
