The most important factor in the conquest as disease. The native people of the Americas had no resistance to European diseases.
Spain has the most influence on religion and language of Latin America. Latin America was originally made up of native tribes which spoke native languages. When it was conquered by the Spaniards, the Spanish language and Christian/Catholic religion were introduced.
Because they worship that culture.
The blending was natural since it were Spanish people who first landed in America and mixed up with the Native Indians. When two cultures and religions mix such blending does occur
The Native American kids went to Spanish school in the Church room where they learned the Spanish Ways of life.
Native American religions and their cultures did not blend well together with the Spanish conquistadors and Spanish settlers in the New World. The two societies were not even close in terms of common values. The result was unfortunate for the Native Americans. Spain was a powerful force in Europe and in the New World. With their armaments and better technologies, the Native Americans became subservient to the Spanish. There was much bloodshed among the Native Americans caused by Spanish setters and soldiers.
Spanish settlers were primarily focused on converting Native American communities to Catholicism. This effort was largely driven by missionaries, such as the Franciscans, Jesuits, and Dominicans, who established missions throughout the Americas. Their goal was to spread Christianity and integrate Indigenous peoples into colonial society, often using education and agriculture as tools for conversion. This mission work was a significant aspect of Spanish colonial policy from the 16th century onward.
