depends waht type of mphibian or reptile, usually amphibians have soft skin and depending on the reptile it can be either smooth or hard
The only reptile with a shell is the turtle. The shell is a unique feature that provides protection and support for the turtle's body. Turtles are known for their distinctive hard shells that are made up of two parts: the upper carapace and the lower plastron.
No they cant
All of their prey (large mammals) had vanished and had been replaced by smaller faster mammals like deer. The saber tooth cats were specialised in bringing down large animals and were not long distance runners so they found it very hard to catch the fast prey. They could not get enough food and became extinct :)
An example of a reptile with a hard shell that lives on land is a tortoise. Tortoises have a thick, hard shell which provides protection from predators while they move on land. They are typically herbivores and are known for their longevity.
Physically reptile eggs tend to be much softer. Much more like a plastic covering than a bird's egg which tends to be hard and brittle.
Because scientists can not obtain the complete DNA of the extinct animal
