Animal Farm, by George Orwell, is a book about what could happen under a totalitarian or authoritarian government, and is based off what was happening at the time it was written which was the Communist movement in Russia, and Stalin's regime that followed. There are many similarities as to what happened in Animal Farm with what is happening in North Korea in current times, and this essay will focus on the similarities between the two regimes.
