Filipino parents these days, are like Chinese parents according to Amy Chua is the "best parenting style". Always wanting their children to be lawyers, doctors and sometimes not marry anyone else except Filipinos.

Of course, this isn't true for 100% of Filipinos, nothing is ever a "100%" status. Remember, not all Mexicans are "bad" or "dangerous/illegal". And such.

Encourage your children, appreciate them and let them grow up and don't follow them around and treat like a child when they are 23 or 24, like most Filipinos parents I know do. Let them date/marry whoever regardless of race. Do not spoil your children but do not be "Chinese" towards them either. Those are the things that many Filipino parents fail to do.
