All piercings have the ability of rejectng. The highest rejecting, are surface piercings (nape, sternum ect..) If you take care of your piercing, by washing it once a day with dial soap (in a pump and fragrance free) diluted in water. If you do this and dont touch it with your dirty hands, you should not have any problems with it.

Why would body piercing affect your ability to obtain a job?

Usually people with piercings are considered Gothic or emo, or some other stereotype. It makes people look unprofessional if they have nose, tongue or belly button piercings. It also is unsanitary because they can fall off into food if your looking into the food industry. So if you happen to have piercings, I would recommend taking them off when going to an interview.

If you close your normal ear piercings and pierce them higher will the previous holes reopen?

Well if you have had the first piercings over a year then the chances of them closing completely are slim to none. This is why we encourage people to get the piercings done by professional body piercers instead of piercing gun salons, placement is very important to the look people are after, you just can't do that with a piercing gun. As for the piercings reopening the chances are high that it just may happen.
