Snake River
Snake River! :)
The river that goes through Idaho and empties into the Columbia River is the Snake River. Itflowsabout 1,670 kilometers (1,038 miles) through southern Idaho. It has deep gorges and is an important source of hydroelectric power. Hydroelectric power is energy made from flowing water. :) Hope this helps you.~Ctmusicgirl7
Actually in a literal sense a spring is the beginning of a river, though usually a watershed feeds a river, and that is a collection of springs and run off paths gathering.
the Columbia river is in Washington state and originates in British Columbia and flows through gorges it created to its mouth in the Pacific near Portland, Oregon
it feeds off of water
That would be the Columbia River. Back in the old days, the settlers decided on Columbia as the name of the new state that would be split off from the Oregon Territory. Someone pointed out that this would be easily confused with District of Columbia, so they named the new state, "Washington." The river was named after that first attempt at naming the state.
Land drained by a river is a watershed. This is an area of land that feeds all the water running under it and draining off of it into a body of water.
Feeds off of inasents

If your are hunting for Valley Quail they can be found along the Snake river from Hagerman to Lewiston. They are most common in the wetter riparian areas on agricultural and public land in SW Idaho but may be found as far North as Orofino. Mountain quail are the native-quail species of Idaho but have become rare and off-limits to hunting.
