The Rhône River flows from Lyon to the Mediterranean Sea. It is one of the major rivers in France, originating in the Swiss Alps and passing through Lyon before continuing southward to its delta at the Mediterranean. The Rhône is known for its scenic landscapes and is an important waterway for transportation and commerce in the region.
No river flows through Lyon and on to the English Channel. The Saone flows into the Rhone at Lyons, and the Rhone flows into the Mediterranean Sea, which is the complete opposite direction from Lyons than the English Channel is.
