That could be taken in two ways. You could mean more than one river or lake having the same name or you could mean a lake that has the same name as a river. So I will give examples of both. There is more than one river called the Blackwater in Ireland. There are rivers that have slightly different names, like the Upper Bann and the Lower Bann. There are two lakes called Lough Derg. In terms of rivers that share names with lakes, there is the Lough and River Corrib and there is the Upper Erne river, the Lower Erne River and Lough Erne. All of these are some of the main examples. There are also lots of small rivers that share names with other small rivers for example.

There are three major lakes on the River Shannon - Lough Allen, Lough Ree and Lough Derg. Lough Derg (13,000 hectares/32,000 acres) is the largest of the three lakes and is completely navigable.
