The Nile River
The Nile River runs from the north to the south of Egypt.
It is based on the flow of the River Nile which runs from South to North. Upper Egypt is up river and lower Egypt Down river.
Upper Egypt is in the South and Lower Egypt is the north. This is so because the Nile River flows south to north.
