Mississippi
The tributaries of a river are the streams or smaller rivers that join the main river. for example, the Missouri River is the chief tributary of the Mississippi.
There are several tributaries to the Mississippi River. Five of these tributaries are the Missouri, Ohio, Arkansas, Black, and Red Rivers.
The Mississippi River, and its tributaries including the Missouri and Ohio Rivers. The Missouri River can be considered to be the longest interior river.
Examples of tributaries include the Missouri River, which is a tributary of the Mississippi River; the Willamette River, which is a tributary of the Columbia River; and the Illinois River, which is a tributary of the Mississippi River.
