The rock formations known as Brimham Rocks are composed of a type of sandstone known in the UK as Millstone Grit. They were originally deposited around 320 million years ago.
The present day shape of the rocks is due to mechanical and freeze thaw weathering that occurred during the Devensian glaciation which commenced around 110,000 years ago and and ended approximately 10,000 years ago.

Quartz, feldspar and biotite are the most common type of minerals that a rock is composed of. Rocks can be sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic; any of the 3 minerals are always present in the rocks.
Rocks composed of evaporite minerals, such as halite and gypsum, are rocks formed by evaporation of fluids.
The rock described would be a clastic sedimentary rock.
Basaltic Igneous Rocks
All rocks are composed of combinations of minerals by definition. Sedimentary rocks can be composed of many different minerals and therefore cannot be classified as a specific mineral. Rocks are the source of most minerals for human use, but they must be separated from the other minerals in the rock.
Detrital rocks are sedimentary rocks that are composed of particles of weathered and eroded igneous, metamorphic, or other sedimentary rocks that have been deposited, compacted, and cemented together. Sandstone, conglomerate, shale, and breccia are examples of detrital sedimentary rocks.
Rocks are composed of differing combinations of thousands of naturally occurring minerals--or pieces of other rock particles cemented together--or in some cases, lithified organic matter. All rocks are composed of some form of minerals. The exact type of rock and their specific appearance is determined by the elements that are combined with these minerals.
One type of chemical sedimentary rock is oolite limestone, which precipitates inorganically. The other type is rocks that are composed of evaporite materials; rocks such as halite, sylvite, gypsum, and barite.
Quartz is a mineral, silicon dioxide, not a type of rock. Quartz is a constituent of many rocks, eg. granite, which is composed primarily of quartz, feldspar, and mica.
They form in a variety of ways. They are classified by type, according to their method of formation. The crust and mantle are composed of rock.Mankind processes rock to extract useful minerals. Some rocks are ingestible. One type of rock floats on water. (pumice)A rock could be billions of years old, or just seconds old. Some rocks are ignitable.
igneous rocks are composed of silicate minerals
The outer core is devoid of rock, being composed mainly of liquid iron and nickel.
