"Hebrews" never claimed, or were assigned, any role in establishing religions. If it ever happened, it happened purely as a result of others who noticed the "Hebrews" and liked something that they saw. The "Hebrews" never assumed the position of telling others what to do, but took very seriously their responsibility to live in such a way as to serve as an example, both of the benefits of obedience to Gcd's law, and of the consequences of disobeying it.
