Plants taking carbon dioxide through pores called stomata and use said carbon dioxide along with water and sunlight to create organic compounds. Oxygen is released from the plants which many animals breathe, and animals eat plants and incorporate carbon along with other compounds into their diets. Cellular respiration in the cells of animals requires oxygen and releases carbon back into the atmosphere.

Photosynthesis and cellular respiration are part of which cycle?

While photosynthesis requires carbon dioxide and releases oxygen, cellular respiration requires oxygen and releases carbon dioxide. It is the released oxygen that is used by us and most other organisms for cellular respiration.

Is carbon dioxide the only product of the Krebs cycle that is not reused or used in other stages of cellular respiration?

Yes, carbon dioxide is the only product of the Krebs cycle that is not reused or used in other stages of cellular respiration.

How do you describe carbon and oxygen cycle?

The two processes of the carbon cycle are photosynthesis and cellular respiration. In photosynthesis carbon from carbon dioxide is fixed into carbohydrates. In cellular respiration, carbohydrates are broken down to form ATP and carbon in the form of carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere. The two processes of the oxygen cycle are also photosynthesis and cellular respiration. In photosynthesis, oxygen is produced by the splitting of water and is released into the atmosphere. Oxygen is used in the process of aerobic cellular respiration as the last electron acceptor in the electron transport chain. The oxygen then combines with hydrogen to form water molecules, which can then be used by photosynthesis and the cycle is complete.

What happens to carbon dioxide in respiration?

Nothing, carbon dioxide isn't used in cellular respiration. Its a product of the Krebs cycle and when pyruvate is oxidized into Acetyl CoA.

The relationship between photosynthesis and cellular respiration is usually described as a cycle?

Photosynthesis removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Cellular respiration puts it back. Photosynthesis releases oxygen into the atmosphere, and cellular respiration uses that oxygen to release energy from food.

Is carbon dioxide a by-product of cellular respiration?

yes. NO. Glycolysis does not produce carbon dioxide. In aerobic respiration, carbon dioxide is produced in the citric acid (or Krebs cycle) which is a different step of the metabolic breakdown of glucose.

What is the reactan used in cellular respiration?

Oxygen, carbon dioxide, and glucose

Which glucose part of the cell is not used in cellular respiration?

The byproducts of cellular respiration are water, ammonia and carbon dioxide. These are not used by the cell. Carbon dioxide is removed from the body through respiration. Ammonia and water are removed from the body through urine.

Are the sugar produced in Calvin cycle used in cellular respiration?

Of corse, glucose is produced in photosynthesis.Glucose is broken in respiration.

What is the role of carbon dioxide in photosynthesis and cellular respiration?

The role of carbon dioxide in photosynthesis is in the creation of molecules that are used to make food for the plants. In cellular respiration, carbon dioxide is emitted as a waste product that is used by photosynthesizing cells to create new carbohydrates.

How CO2 get into your cells?

It is produced by cellular respiration. In cellular respiration oxygen reacts with glucose to form carbon dioxide, water, and energy tor be used by the cell.

What happens to the carbon dioxide produced cellular respiration?

It is breathed out of the body by the lungs. You give up the carbon dioxide into the air. That is used by plants to produce glucose with the addition of the water and energy from the sun. This process is called as carbon cycle.
