It doesn't do much for the circulatory system. But if it is for a heart problem it helps your heart pump blood easier. Or if the vitamins aren't it helps something else. But if you eat too much vitamins or medicine that will be way too much for your heart to handle.

Vitamins are some of the vital chemical compounds the human body requires to function and be healthy. Some vitamins can be stored up. The B vitamins are some of those. Other vitamins cannot be stored and must be constantly replenished. Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is one of those.

The vitamins a human must obtain in food are determined by humans being omnivores. The vitamins and other compounds human biochemistry cannot produce must be obtained in food - which for omnivore Biology includes plants and animals, especially herbivorous animals.

Herbivore biochemistry can produce and store up the vitamins which omnivore and carnivore biochemistry cannot produce. Among them is B-12.

B-12 is vital for the health of omnivore and carnivore brains and nerves.

Since humans are omnivores, eating a properly balanced diet will provide the best nutrition without requiring any supplements. Consuming too much of most vitamins is either wasteful, excess vitamin C is flushed through the kidneys, or can be harmful, too much vitamin B-3 (Niacin) can cause liver damage. Just to give a couple of examples.

Too little of the needed vitamins also causes problems. Too little vitamin C causes scurvy (look that up for the symptoms). If you don't get B-12 your bodies store of it will run out and without any B-12 the next step is nerve and brain damage.

This is a very broad question that requires many, many detailed answers. Vitamins are required for a lot of different processes in your body. These aren't merely The Flintstones chewables your parents forced you to take; they're actually many different compounds our bodies require in minute quantities to take place in different reactions. DOOD WTF DONT TRY TO BE FUNNY

For example, Vitamin C, or ascorbic acid, is involved in the production of collagen in the body. A deficiency in this vitamin will result in scurvy (think pirates!). You need vitamin A for your eyes and vitamin E for a healthy heart.

There are many different types of vitamins your body needs, along with minerals (iron, calcium, etc) and macro-nutrients (proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids/fats). All are very important for a healthy body.
