it depends on the type of horse and also on the season x
in summer a fly sheet is handy ( especially for those which are clipped )
in winter a turnout rug either lightweight/m.weight or h.weight
in really cold weather and if a horse is clipped in the winter it could be handy to have a stable rug and an under blanket.
in hot weather a sweat rug is good for those in tough work.
They can wear rugs, New Zealand Rugs. But my horse doesnt wear anything! He was out in the field at -15 degrees last winter! He didnt feel a thing
In The Sims 3: Pets, you can get horse rugs by going to the Equestrian Center or using the "Buy" mode. Select the "Pets" category and find the horse rugs under the "Horse" section. Once you purchase a rug, you can place it in your inventory and then use it on your horse by selecting the horse and choosing the option to put on the rug.
All seasons, you can get different types of rugs. autumn and winter are the most crucial to have a horse rug to keep them warm/dry. IDIOT.
depends how fat the horse is and the weather!
Turnout rugs are used to protect a horse from the elements, to keep it clean, or to keep it warm.
Horses are animals that wear turnout rugs. Turnout rugs can be bought from Schneider Saddlery, Dover Saddlery, Hayneedle, Tac Room Inc. and Horse Loverz.

You only need to use one saddle blanket under the saddle. This goes for a saddle pad but for winter rugs it depends on the breed! An Arabian or TB may need 4-6 rugs depending if they loose weight or not. A QH may only need one thick warn waterproof one and maybe his summer rug underneith. A Horse/Pony who gets a thick winter coat may not need one. One more thing before i go! Check your horses water 3 times a day if you live somewhere really cold it may freeze! get a stick a swish it around to stop this happening! happy Horin-around everyone! =]
There are about three basic types of horse blankets (rugs). Summertime is perfect for fly sheets, cotton stable sheets or nylon sheets. Winter is for stable blankets, with or without liners and hoods and turnout rugs or all-weather turnout blankets, with or without hoods. For extra warmth or when showing, sleezies and horse jammie's are great for under stable blankets or cotton sheets and hoods. And of course boots and leg wraps for every occation, preferably matching the horse's 'binky's'.
Horse rugs function the same way for horses that clothes function for humans. Because horses are warm blooded, they are affected by the climate. If it is too cold for the horse, a horse blanket will be put on the horse to keep it comfortable and to prevent it from getting sick.
Round area rugs can be cleaned the same as rectangular shaped rugs. You just need to take into account the shape and clean the sides carefully will a cloth.
