The Gulf of Alaska is directly south of the state of Alaska. It is a large inlet of the Pacific Ocean that extends approximately 775 miles (1,250 km) from the Alaska Peninsula to the Alexander Archipelago.
The Gulf of Alaska is south of Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico is south of the southeastern states between Florida and Texas.
