Jesus told his disciples (all believers) to only do two things:
- take bread and wine (communion)
1Corinthians 11:23 For I received from the Lord the teaching that I passed on to you: that the Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took a piece of bread,
1Corinthians 11:24 gave thanks to God, broke it, and said, "This is my body, which is for you. Do this in memory of me."
1Corinthians 11:25 In the same way, after the supper he took the cup and said, "This cup is God's new covenant, sealed with my blood. Whenever you drink it, do so in memory of me."
-baptise disciples.
Matthew 28:19 Go, then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples: baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
NO, NO they DO NOT!
He is an ordained minster of the gospel of Christ.
Sacred. The whole thing is about Jesus Christ.
Because Jesus Christ gave no authority to the Church to ordain women.
Jesus
As far as I can tell Jesus was given that name at His circumcision. In Greek, the nameis Sotos, meaning 'Saviour'.
The two sacred holidays in Christianity are Easter and Christmas day. Easter celebrates the raising of Jesus Christ from the dead and Christmas day celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ
The cross is not a sacred object but a symbolic one. Peole do not worship it, but see it as a reminder of what Christ did for us.
It's not a sacred idol that people worship. It's simply a reminder of what Jesus Christ did for all of mankind.
