Because this is a non-specific and individual thing it cannot be answered.

Another thought:

If you're talking about 'animal sacrifices' and the like, according to Christian teaching in The Bible, once Jesus died a sacrificial death, animal sacrifices were no longer needed. (Hebrews 9:11-12)(Hebrews 10:10) (Colossians 2:13-14)

Because of Adam's sin, all mankind is sinful and imperfect(Romans 5:12). To again be approved by God, and to have the hope of overcoming sin and gaining everlasting life originally promised to mankind, someone equal to Adam(a perfect man) was needed to replace our original father. A Messiah (1Corinthians 15:45, 47)(John 3:16)(John 17:3). To be forgiven for our unintentional shortcomings, a person needs to exercise faith in Jesus' shed blood(John 3:16), acknowledging him as THE Messiah(Romans 5:17)(John 1:29+36). This means, as Jesus said, if we are trying hard to DO God's will (Matthew 7:21-23) as recorded in the Bible(John 17:17), then we can have full faith that Jesus' sacrifice covers over our sin. No other sacrifice is needed.(1 John 2:1-2) Under the Mosaic Law, directed at the Israelites, 'animal sacrifices' were offered for forgiveness of sins (Leviticus 16:11)(Leviticus 4:20-21)(Numbers 15:25), because 'without blood, no forgiveness of sins takes place' (Hebrews 9:22). (Hebrews 9:6-22). Since animals are a lesser creature than man, their sacrifice could not permanently save people(Hebrews 10:1-4), and had to be repeated on a regular basis, serving as a reminder of man's sinful condition(Romans 7:14; Psalm 51:5)and pointing to the need for something MORE. These sacrifices actually pointed forward to the coming of the ULTIMATE sacrifice, the Messiah, who would give his life once for all time for repentant mankind (Hebrews 2:17-18)(Ephesians 1:7)(Romans 5:6-8)(1 Corinthians 15:3). When Jesus came, he fulfilled Messianic prophesy (Isaiah 53:5+7(1 Peter 1:19+ 2:24)(Isaiah 53:7/Acts 8:32,34+35).

Answer:

"O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise. You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. THE SACRIFICES OF GOD are A BROKEN SPIRIT; a BROKEN and CONTRITE HEART, O God, you will not despise." (Ps.51:15-17 NIV)
