It is considered the Coral Sea, Wake and Battle of Midway was the turning point in favor of the Allied Forces in the Pacific Theater.
Two examples of turning point battles were:Battle of Stalingrad:shifted power from the Nazis to the Soviets in the Eastern FrontBattle of the Coral Sea:stopped Japanese advancement in the Pacific
The decisive battles at the end of World War 1 were the Battle of Amiens and the Battle of Albert. They part of what is famously called the 100 Days Offensive by the Allies.
During World War II, quite a few battles can be cited as turning-points in the Pacific Theater to some extent. By most accounts, however, the Battle of Midway (in June 1942) is the most important, as it not only checked the northern prong of the Japanese advance; it also delivered decisive losses upon the Japanese fleet from which that fleet would in fact never recover.
These two battles marked the end of both German and Japanese expansionism during WW2 .
Two major battles are widely regarded as turning points. In the European Theater - The Battle of Stalingrad. In the Pacific Theater - The Battle of Midway.
While numerous battles were fought at many locations throughout Europe and the Pacific regions, two battles are considered by World War II historians to have been "turning point" battles namely: 1. The allied invasion of Normandy in northern France against the German military. 2. The battle of Midway in the Pacific region against the Japanese military.
