My name is Gus and i am an 2nd year carpentry apprentice.
First i took pre-apprenticeship training with local carpentry union
(5months), than i started a registered apprenticeship program
that's mostly hands on. I still have to go back to school each year
for about 2 months for more academic part of my education. After
about 4 to 5 years my apprenticeship will be over, than i can decide if
i want to be just a tradesman or pass red seal exam and become
red seal certified carpenter.
