JESUS didn't need to say something really very special to let the people remember Him...What JESUS was doing and was saying and all the miracles were enough to let the people remember JESUS... and that's why you may wonder that all armies that ever marched, all navies that ever set sail, all parliments ever to convene, and all kings who have reigned throughout the history...all of these and those combined did not influence man's life on this planet Earth as did that single and solitary life of Jesus Christ.
Fondly.
Jesus knew there was much about Himself that His "schedule" wouldn't permit Him to tell them personally. So He made the following provision for them:
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (John 14:25,26)
He also left them with a new twist on an old Jewish custom. He left them the bread and the wine of the Passover Seder - his body and blood.
19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the New Testament in my blood, which is shed for you. (Luke 22:19,20)
