Seeds are always standing for the uploaders in torrent file, the torrent files are automatically starting to seed after the torrent is downloaded, you can change in a options that you want to have a higher priority for the seeding or downloading. After completing a download, peers would become a seed, uploading it constantly themselves. Peers help each other to download the file more quickly.
