the lower heart.
If I am not wrong the lower two chambers of the heart are called as ventricles i.e. left ventricle and right ventricle while the upper two chambers of the heart are called as atria( plural of atrium) i.e. left atrium and right atrium.
The interventricular septum separates the right and left ventricles. The interatrial septum separates the atria.
You could say that, but you could say it functions as two pumps or one. As four pumps the (1)left and (2)right atrium pump blood into the left and right ventricles. Then the Left and Right ventricles pump blood into the (3)lungs and (4)body respectively. Looking at the heart as two pumps, the atriums (L and R) pump into the ventricles. As one pump, the heart circulates the blood in the body.
The interatrial septum separates the left and right atria in the human heart. The tricuspid and bicuspid valves separate the atria and the ventricles.
left and right atrium left and right ventricles.
The four chambers of the heart are the right and left atria, and the right and left ventricles. The atria are the upper chambers, and the ventricles the lower.
The heart is made up of the left and right ventricles and left and right atria.
The lower heart chambers are ventricles. Atria are the upper chambers of the heart.
