Inside the Sioux shelter there would be an alter. This is where thanks was given before a meal. Beds were made out of buffalo hide. Pillows were made out of fox skin that had been stuffed. They also had boxes for storage made from buffalo hide inside their shelter. They would build a fire in the center of the shelter for cooking and to keep warm.
