A ship used by the Purtians to come to establish a colony. There were 61 Purtians from the same Yorkshire village.
Thousands of Purtians didn’t come to the New World. The Mayflower held 102 people and 60 of them were Purtians from the same village in England.

The Mayflower originally departed from an English port, Southampton in August 1620. The Mayflower came with another smaller boat called the Speedwell. The Speedwell started to leak, so the ships were forced to go to Dartmouth, and then to a port called Plymouth. So the Mayflower finally set sail alone from Plymouth, England in September 1620. The Mayflower went on a 66 day voyage to America and landed in a site where the settlers also named Plymouth.
