The Forest of Hope contains the following 8 parts:
You need to collect five ship parts in the Forest of Hope to unlock the forest navel.
If you collected enough ship parts, you blast off into the atmosphere. If not, you die and turn into a Pikmin.
You have to collect enough ship parts in the level(s) before it.
It is not necessary to get all 30 parts; only 25 are needed. However, if you fail to get the required parts, you will get the "bad ending" to the game. In the bad ending, Olimar tries to lift off of the planet but crashes back down, as not all mandatory ship parts were collected. The Pikmin carry him back to their onion and he pops out as a Pikmin-like creature.
You get the Whimsical Radar in the Forest of Hope. It is visible on the second map. The radar is a ship part and you get it by traveling to the bottom-right area of the map, on the top of the stage. It is right near where you get the yellow Onion. It is on the top edge of the pathway, and you need to throw Pikmin to get it.
It is possible to recover up to four parts.
Olimar's ship in the original Pikmin is called the S.S. Dolphin (after the code name of the GameCube).
In Pikmin 2, there is no name given to the ship, but is known generally as just "The Ship." The Super Smash Bros. Brawl trophy calls it the "Hocotate Ship."
No, Louie doesn't have his own ship, as the ship in Pikmin 2 belongs to Hocotate Freight, his employer. If Louie does own his own spaceship, it is never shown in the game.
Besides the main Pikmin games, Pikmin and elements of Pikmin have appeared in other games:Super Smash Bros. Brawl had trophies of Captain Olimar, Pikmin, and several Pikmin enemies.Super Smash Bros. Melee had trophies of Captain Olimar and Pikmin. In Super Mario Galaxy, a space ship appeared that resembled the ship from Pikmin 2.Pikmin-themed items were available for download in Animal Crossing: City Folk.Pikmin can be seen running in flowers in Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour.
There are 3 possible endings 1. Collect all of the treasures and Olimar will leave peacefully. 2. Collect the 25 needed ship parts and Olimar will just leave. 3. Don't collect the 25 needed ship parts and Olimar dies.
This depends on which game you're talking about. If it's pikmin 1, then in the forest of hope, go right from your base's first entrance (the other being the rock wall you can't break down) and break down the white wall you should come across. Break it down and you should see it. Mind the bulborbs. If it's pikmin 2, start the long adventure at the second area (I forgot the name. Sue me.) find another half of the globe somewhere. (You're gonna need white pikmin to get it) The next day, there is another area available called the perplexing pool. Go there. The ship should make note of the yellow pikmin. Then find your way over and get them. If you think you need blue pikmin, you don't. Just make sure you bring red pikmin with you because there is a fiery bulborb gaurding the entrance. Then get white pikmin to break down the following poisonous wall! Then, they're yours.
