No specific ship was MacArthur's. The USS Nashville (CL-43) was his Flagship for his return to the Phillipenes. PT-41 from Motor Torpedo Squadron Three was what he used to make his escape. He was also associated withe the USS Missouri (BB-63) for the Japanese surrender and the USS Mount McKinley (AGC-7) during the Inchon landings.

John MacArthur and his wife sailed to Australia on the Neptune. This ship was said to be the worst ship in the worst Australian fleet. It was that bad that his wife had to be transferred to another ship, the Scarborough, mid crossing on the high seas.
