I'm quite confused.My school teacher tell us to use one inverted comma ('......') when it is inside two inverted commas ("......") only.He also tells us to NOT use it when writing the word/phrase is,here are two examples: Correct:The word is"happy". Wrong :The word is'happy'. But my tuition teacher tells us to use single inverted commas('.....') for word/phrase.Here are two examples: Correct:The phrase is'happy'. Wrong:The phrase is"happy".
