Many of my male clients have come to me with this same issue....especially as the warmer months are approaching. I explain to them that the shorter the hair, the lower the maintenance. Try a much shorter version of what you already have, or, if you're feeling brave, go for a clipper cut....clippered on the sides and back and scissor cut to your desired length on top.
