maybe a photo(framed) of their fave pony??? a horsey calendar,chocolates,some cheap riding gear(i.e.whip). Maybe even a photo of your whole riding group(if you ride in a group in lessons) with the ponies! hope this helped

You should NOT expect to get everything right the first time, so don't beat yourself up if you are having trouble with something, just keep trying! And if it is your first riding lesson just listen and try your hardest that's the best you can do, you may be nervous but who isn't!? You might not know any one there but enjoy yourself and be yourself. you shall soon make friends xxx You should expect sore legs (mostly the thigh parts of your leg).
