For a first date, Go to someplace that is public, And judgemental.
Ex. Don't go swimming, dancing, to the movies, etc. Those places all bring up confusion and stress. (Swimming: Stress about how you/they look in their bathing suit. Dancing: Stress about how well you/they dance. Movies: Whether or not to cuddle, hold hands, arm around the shoulder, etc.)
DO go someplace public and awesome such as a Zoo, Aquarium, maybe even an Amusement Park. Good Places:
