If it is the ignition key, then you will be making a trip to the dealership, so that they can program a new key for you. That key should be chipped so a regular cut key will not work.
Head Trip in Every Key was created in 1998.

If you purchased the Star Wars Empire at War expansion pack from an online vendor, they should email you with the key code required to play the game. If you bought a physical copy of the expansion pack, the code will be included in the paperwork, or printed on one of the discs.
Turn key to accessory position. Press and hold trip meter reset button. Wait half a second and turn key to on position (not start) continuing to hold trip button. After a few seconds the service light will start flashing. At this point release the trip button, cycle the key and start the engine. The service light should be reset.
Hold down the trip reset button with the key off then while holding it turn the key to the on position and there should be some dashes that count down where the odometer reading is, then it should be out.
Be sure odometer reading is shown (not trip meter) With the ignition key in the "OFF" position, press and hold the trip meter reset knob while turning the ignition key to the "ON" postion. Continue holding the trip meter reset knob for about 5 seconds. The odometer should read "000000" and the "MAINT REQD" light should go out.

Turn your ignition key to the ON position without turning on the engine. Check to make sure your trip counter is on "ODO", not on "Trip A" or Trip B". While you press and hold the trip counter, turn the key to the OFF position. Without releasing the trip counter, turn the key to the ON position again without turning on the engine. You should see the odometer reading turn into dashes (---------). Once all the dashes disappear, the "Maintenance Required Light" is reset. You have now fooled your car into thinking that you've changed the oil.
