You should check the starter and alternator.
check the fuses for the head lights check the fuses for the head lights
it is in the fuses box inside the vehicle i belive it is # 17 and is 25amp
Check the fuses. This vehicle should be OBD I.
you should try checking the fuses and replacing the bulbs the fuses for thos lights should only be about a 10 or a 15

Check the fuses, if fuses are okay, it is probably the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) or wiring to it at fault.

There should be 12 volts or close to it at the alternator b+ terminal. Possibly a wiring problem,fried fusible link wire or a blown fuse depending on vehicle make and model. Check for blown fuses or check at the starter solenoid for fried fusible link wiring. Some makes ,the PCM computer regulates the voltage...possible PCM problem,again depending on vehicle make..... Check under the dash. I'm not sure which side of the vehicle. Look for a small fuse box. All the fuses should be labelled inside there. I hope this helps.
Check your owners manual. It tells you what each of your fuses goes to depending on the vehicle.
Check your fuses in your fuse block you should have a fuse that says "gauges". If you fuses check good take it to a mechanic shop.
