If you want your set made entirely of maple and want thin shells w/re-rings and unfinished interiors, get DW. If you want every drum made from different wood with different bearing edges get the Reference. Personally I'd buy the Masters MCX and save a ton of money. I own a Pearl Masters MCX and a DW collectors and the build quality is just as good if not better on the MCX as it is on the DW. With the DW you get steel rolled hoops with the Pearl you get die-cast. With the Pearl the interiors are finished, The DW's are left unfinished. But, play both and let your ears decide ultimately which kit would be best for you.
Get both. Both of them are free, so you really don't have to choose between one or the other.

The 1947 maple leaf penny, a Canadian coin, is distinct due to its unique design featuring a small maple leaf next to the date, which was added to commemorate Canada's centennial. In contrast, non-maple leaf pennies from that era typically do not have this leaf and feature different designs, such as the standard portrait of King George VI. Additionally, the 1947 maple leaf penny is often sought after by collectors due to its rarity and historical significance.

You should always get a hard maple bat. If you are getting a maple bat then you want something hard that is why maple is so popular because of the density and strength of the wood. If someone is trying to sell you soft maple it is because it is being made out of their bad billets.
