It's called "communication skills" which seems to be a weak point in many people. This means that the next time he phones ask him why you don't hear from him more often and that you prefer to set-up dates for the weekend or you're going out. NEVER let someone lead you around by the nose and sit at home waiting for phone calls. Get out with friends and have fun and make him work for your attention.
