I've had a first hand experience with a broken toe nail. First of all, you should keep your toe dry, and try to remove any blood if blood is visible. I suggest to not walk around too much, for it applies pressure to your toe. Try to clip the broken portion of the nail slowly. Clip off as much as possible to prevent an ingrown toe nail. When you are done, put a band aid on it, and make sure that your broken toe nail can receive some air while having a band aid on it. Just wait patiently and you toe nail will slowly grow back. It should take a while for it to completely grow back (depending on how much of the toe nail is broken.) If you don't think you should do this, then go ask your doctor what to do. Your doctor may even remove it for you. I suggest that your should go ask your doctor if more than half of your toe nail is broken.
wrap it as tightly as possible in a bandage or gauze it will hurt but you should keep it dry so if it bleeds switch the bandage do not put any liquid except antiseptic or numbing sprays dont touch rub or mess with the injjured area be as careful as possible ntil fully healed
Wrapping a toe will not do anything unless it is sprained, broken or fractured. This is done to stabilize it so it can health properly. Leaving it open to air won't really help it heal either, since it is bruise. You may wrap it if it makes it less painful, but there is nothing you should really do for a bruise except let it heal. You can apply ice if it is swelling, but only for 20 minutes out of the hour (that is, every hour 20 minutes on, 40 minutes off).
If the nail hasn't actually come off and it will come off, then I sugest tugging it careful off. This will make sure that bacteria won't grow underneath the nail. It will hurt but it will save you lots of pain later. Then I would suggest putting some neosporn on it (or something similar) and then a band-aid. Don't keep the band-aid on for too long though because once again, it is a moist area under the band-aid which can be a great place for an infection to start. If you would like to keep a band-aid on for a few days, then change it everyday and let it breath for a few minutes before putting the next band-aid on.
I recomend applying a little aloe vera to soothe the damaged skin and help it to heal more quickly. If it is badly ripped, you should also disinfect it. Other than that, there may not be much you can do.
First you check it for a few days if it doesn't get better take it to a vet. don't be worried it happened to me once.
It might. It depends on how you got it. I have a bruise under my toenail from my friend who stepped on my foot with her high heels on. If this comes out of the blue, and it won't stop hurting, then you might have it. It's very rare. If you got this from something that hurt your toenail like I did, then It probably is not skin cancer.
A contusion is a "BRUISE". Sure, you can sue someone for anything but the real question is should you. Are you really suffering badly from your bruise?
Badly is an adverb. Bruised is the past tense and past participle of the verb (to bruise) and can be used as an adjective.
The toenail will grow back over time to a more functional usage.
no you should not put acrylic over toenail fungus.
No it is most likely a bruise caused by trauma to the toe. The dark color is from bleeding under the skin.
suck it up the doctor cant do anything about it. Its just badly bruised. They cant do anything if its broken either but give pain killers
yes it is normal you must have brused it badly
No! Let the new toenail grow to replace it.
I am a nail tech.... from my experiences, a black dot can be one of two things. 1. a deep bruise (bruises can take a few months to grow all the way out) 2. a mold or fungal infection....which should be checked by a foot doctor.
After 5 to 10 days, the bruise turns greenish or yellowish. ... All you have to do is apply cold to the bruise for half an hour to an hour at a time ... A bruise is getting more painful. Your bruise is swelling. You can't move a joint. ...
take a needle go right into the the part of the toenail by the skin, lift the toenail up with the needle and take the nail clippers and cut it back. or in the front of your toenail right in the middle, cut a v shaped figure. the point of the v should be facing up the toenail. this way the toenail will grow toward each other and will prevent ingrown toenails to happen.
