Depends why you're scratching. Sometimes i use heat like from a blowdryer and burn the skin until it doesn't itch anymore, but as it cools it will sometimes itch more. Alcohol can work well, especially if you've scratched some of the skin off. Basically the only thing that works for me is to substitute pain for the itching...temporary, but it works. Slapping works too...a little. good luck.
