Turn off the device and remove it from the power supply. Clean out the device and then retry with a small amount of liquid in it like water. Do not use hot water. If there is a smell of burning during any part of the process stop, remove from the supply and empty.
Depending on the time since you bought the device from a retailer will guide you in the returns process. NOTE: Different country's have different return laws and its is the requirements of your country that you should be following in conjunction with the retailers statuary and own returns policy. Not every item that malfunctions can be returned due to the guarantee and retail law requirements. Retailers are not obliged in most country's to accept back items that have exceeded its sales of goods legislation.
